Outcomes
— Looking Ahead
Our vision for the future.
Higher education is producing talent at scale, but the system wasn't built to support every student individually. That's the gap we're closing.
— The Problem
Universities are breeding grounds for talent.
But that talent often goes unnoticed, lost in large cohorts where individual feedback is impossible.
— The Opportunity
AI can map what teachers can't.
Every student interaction becomes a data point. Every submission, a signal.

— Our Journey
The story of Eduface.
The First Model
We developed our first AI model supporting written assignment assessment — the seed of
everything EduFace would become.
12 Institutions Onboard
Before the year was out, 12 educational institutions were already piloting EduFace — validating the
idea in the real world.
Our Own Model
We built our own model to improve accuracy, reduce energy use and hallucinations, and make it
easier for universities to host EduFace in their own environments.
Strategic Partnerships
We joined forces with Startup Fonds Gelderland, Imec.istart, Jisc, and Heanet — building the
network that will carry EduFace globally.
Deep Integrations
EduFace plugged directly into Brightspace, Canvas, Moodle, Microsoft Teams, and Blackboard —
wherever educators already work.
Co-founder & CTO
Menno Hahury
"I see building an AI tool that provides immediate
formative feedback as an opportunity to make an
impact in academia. After countless conversations with
professors, I understood that this is a problem they
won't overcome on their own. That gives me a strong
sense of purpose to help improve the educational
system by building the best possible AI assessment tool.
We are aware that AI is not a "solve everything"
solution, but many people treat it as such without fully
understanding how it works. That is why we focus on
creating our own LLM, hosted locally, so we have full
control over its training and privacy. This gives
universities peace of mind while using a tool tailored to
their needs."
