What Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences was trying to solve
Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences runs Bachelor and Master teacher training programs across multiple faculties. With 18 teachers handling hundreds of student assignments each semester, giving consistent, substantive feedback at scale had become unsustainable.
Teachers were spending 20–45 minutes per student on feedback alone time that wasn't available at the scale they were operating.

than their first
Inconsistency between teachers on the same program
Students on the same course received different depth of feedback depending on their teacher

Ease of use
The tool is extremely user-friendly. Within five minutes I figured out how everything worked. The workflow fits well with how we teach and assess.
Feedback quality
The feedback from Eduface is impressive. Strong in content and aligns well with the rubrics. Especially the way structures from assignments are recognised and commented on is very useful.
Time saving
Giving feedback normally takes at least 20 to 30 minutes per student. With Eduface I see this going down, while still maintaining or even improving quality.
"Together with colleagues we also see an application of the tool in lessons where
the student receives feedback from Eduface and can then work on it."

Ease of use
The tool is simple and intuitive to use, with few buttons. It took me only a little time to get started.
Feedback quality
Eduface does well in providing concrete and substantive feedback, especially on low-hanging fruit such as APA style. The tool helps clarify and justify why something is wrong or right.
Time saving
Normally, giving feedback takes me about 45 minutes per student. With Eduface that could drop to around 15 minutes, provided the teacher still does a final check.
"The tool asks the student to make things more concrete and to substantiate his is also the type of feedback teachers often give. Markings in the text are also pleasant."

"What surprised us most was that teachers didn't just save time they felt the feedback got better. That combination is exactly what we were hoping to find."
